He was tall with dark hair and a quick smile.
I thought now what does this hunk of a man want?
And then he said," I am going to turn off your electricity."
What! Now??? No, we are working.
Well, I have to.
No longer charmed by his boyish looks I said, "No."
Well you know who won that argument...
No electricity means, no wheels, no computer, no work.
Blah! Nothing to do but pack it up and take a day off.
So, off to do a bit of nothing and have a massage and some dinner.
Maybe we can work a full day tomorrow.
More later, I hope, meanwhile keep your grubby hands off my electricity!
Tall dark and handsome, and then, what a bummer, take it easy when you can; I know easier said than done.
ReplyDeleteHe must have been around my neighborhood on Tuesday, we had no power most of the day. Thank goodness we are having this warm weather!
ReplyDeleteHope you're all relaxed and well-fed... with power restored. Any chance the electricity stealers are heading in this direction?
ReplyDeleteNo power at our house today either! But downtown still had power so the studio was a great place to go, get warm, listen to some tasty podcasts and hang out. Even got the hubster and puppy with me for the afternoon... Power came back on right after dark here at the house. With the storms here this week, it most likely will go out again. Ah well... I like your idea of getting a massage when the power goes out.
ReplyDeleteliterally the dark ages, i never realize how completely dependent on it i am until it goes off. i only hope this isn't a glimpse of our shared future
ReplyDeleteI do like my electricity!
ReplyDeleteThey have me i am addicted.
PG - your rain is heading our way.
meanwhile stay safe!
where's your kick wheel? : )
ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteMy kick wheel is right next to your hourse and buggy.
:)
Whoops!
ReplyDeleteThat would be right next to your horse and buggy!
I have a nice quiet kick wheel (saviac) to throw on, A gas kiln to fire in (bottled, so off grid)(too near houses for woodfiring)
ReplyDeleteI have the sunlight to work by.
Horse and buggy sounds fine by me :-)
