For the most part

For the most part it was a very good firing with some really nice looking pots in the kiln.
Which is what we all like.

Top, Front Crown

Front shelves ready to unload
Then we have to sneak in some seconds just to keep things interesting:
sneaky seconds hiding behind the big boys.....

And of course that means a hammer is a girl's best friend.
Took those babies right out- 1-2-3- and 4!
All of these ran down and hit the shelf in a way that made them impossible to save.
The hammer made them all better.

    Yay for hammers. Doesn't that feel good? (As long as it is only a few each firing of course!)

    Yes it did feel good! I tried a tree first and it bounced- it was straight for the hammer after that!

    My eye went right to that blue and brown mug. I may just have to come get me one of those! Should have saved the pot bashing for me, I need something to release all of this angst!

    if they had quit bouncing off the trees I would not have had to fetch the hammer!

    oh yes... i Mr. Hammer has become my friend... and it does feel good to do some smashing. happy to hear that overall the firing was a success.

    We have 5 drive shafts hangin" from a Holly tree branch over a bank. Makes great "chimes"...shard pile underneath.
