What I am working on

This is my work this past week:
Drawn in pencil, then waxed

Layers of glaze are applied

More glaze

wax is painted over glaze
This has been my slow work this past week, I am ready to apply the background glazes next.
Then hold my breathe when we fire.

  1. How beautiful. Question: how do you wax right after the pencil drawing? What part gets waxed before you apply glaze? And then how do you glaze over wax? I've been doing tulips on a bunch of mugs this week. Hope your tiles come out!

  3. I'm usually glazing designs, then waxing them, then putting glaze on the bare clay. Done on bisque-ware. Just didn't understand your first sentence. Thanks.
