July kiln

The plan is to throw the next 2 weeks in order to get the big gas kiln loaded and fired before August.

What's going in the kiln?
Canister sets,

 Cruets,
 Oil lamps and spoon jars.

You have to put a spout on it, right?

From the garden today this red flower.
I am enjoying the flowers since most of the garden, except the cucumbers, seems to be in limbo.
We should be up to our ears in tomatoes and corn. All I can tell you is they will be here when they are ready.
Watching them does not make them grow any faster.

  1. They say a watched pot never boils but they do if you watch long enough.

  3. You all are so crazy productive. I need to eat what you guys eat! My tomatos have gone to the birds. They seem to take a small taste OF EVERY ONE. :( Oh well. I hope they are enjoying them.

  4. The pots look great, as usual.

We've taken to making pickles because we have so many cucumbers, but, alas, not tomatoes.

  5. it really is going to be hard on our NC produce this year. I have big blueberries, but they are not as tasty as they are with more sun.
