It's my birthday too, yeah

and so Michael Kline says where is the picture of you from 1978.
Well, I posted up one from 1973-74ish last week.
This one would be 1980ish.
And yes- yesterday was Anna's birthday and today mine.
What a great gift to have a daughter born the day before your birthday and right before Christmas.
We put her in a basket under the tree in 1977.
She does not go for the tradition any more so we had to give it up.

and here is me, and my best present for my birthday,on my mother's front porch the summer she was 2.

So to all of you out there all that are blogging and reading and all that I have met and those that I will meet.

MERRY CHRISTMAS !

enjoy your time with family and may the new year bring us all peace and hope.
M

Happy Birthday, funny I thought the photo yesterday was of you, I should have known you didn't have blond hair, have a good one, such wonderful memories you must have; love seeing all the old photos, what a wonderful look you have on your face in the photo in the chair on the porch.

I remember your birth day. Not the annual celebration thereof -- the day. Christmas was impending and when the folks had to head to the hospital, the three kids (Lee, Chris, and me) were delivered to a neighbor for safekeeping. The lady had the first artificial Christmas tree I had ever seen and, at that time, the last one I ever wanted to see. It was white-painted aluminum with blue decorations -- blue lights, blue ornaments, blue everything. It looked like something out of a mortuary, a Christmas tree that had been recently autopsied. I had to keep an eye on the neighbor lady to be sure she didn't intend to roast one of the other kids for dinner. So that's what I remember about the day of your birth. I must say, I was very relieved to learn that you had arrived and we would be going home.

What a wonderful "reason for the season!" Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas. I'm with everyone else the photo of you and your daughter in the rocker is GREAT!

OMG!! I wonder if my mom was the neighbor that your siblings were dropped off to...my mom had a tree just like that! She wouldn't roast any kids though...those trees and the blue & green color scheme was just the "in" thing -ha!
