The view from the other side
I love when Mark makes jugs.
They really are one of my favorite shapes as any one who has been to the house can tell you.
What is it about a good jug?
Round and full bellies and the rims- I could just drool over a good rim.
Lay on a good handle with a little sass to it and I am done.
These will show up again when they come out of the gas kiln.

There really is something so wonderful about a jug isn't there? It is so Seagrove,memories of my childhood come to mind when I see one. And don't you just love the promise of a piece of greenware?! Beautiful, Mark!!

One of the neat things about jugs is that they are so much harder to make than they look. The shoulder will do you in every time...it's hard to get a good round one instead of one with boxy sides. (That Mark of yours is brilliant)...

I think Mark not only knows his jugs, but also knows his glazes well!! I can almost visualize how the glaze runs on the surface.
