A bean and a cow....

I really did not trade a cow for these beans but they are heading skyward.
I just want to know who is going to pick those beans.

These guys stopped over for a bite to eat.
Being the lousy guest they are we threw them out.

It's July and after 100 degree days we are having a lovely California morning...
enjoy!

do you have a good bean recipe? i never know what to do with them... my grandmother made a delicious green bean soup, but in this warm weather, the last thing I want is hot soup ;-)

I like them just steamed with olive oil and some balsamic Vinegar.
Or steam and marinate in your favorite dressing.

We use green beans in vegetable curry, get the curry sauce at Trader Joes, yum! Wasn't it amazing this morning? The temperature was perfect!!!

Those aren't my favorite type of beans, do you have any other varieties? Ha.

Saute the beans for a loooonnnggg time in oil, with garlic and hot pepper paste, then add oyster sauce near the end. And you can add extra protein by sauteeing the worms, too.

Don't have a cow - but I love green beans! I cook them the old fashioned southern way! Don't eat them unless they are fresh. So if you want to share that bean, I'm on my way . . .
