Excuse me while I kiss this guy

Well boys and girls we have a problem.
My computer is not talking with the monitor.
So I am giving this a go on my wee little netbook while I figure out how to once again keep my granny computer going.
This would not be a good time to buy a new desktop.
I have been investing in teeth and computers are not on my list of things I must buy right now.

Instead I will distract myself and you by showing you pictures of the weekend.
Peaches-yummy!

Squash, eggplant, onions, garlic, tomatoes, about 1/4 cup olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, fresh herbs.
Roast at 400 for 20 minutes covered.
Uncover and roast for 20-30 minutes until very creamy- serve with rice or pasta- or as a side...
I love this summer dish our favorite.

Peach Jam! What could be better?

Customers taking a tour in the workshop.

I am off to see what trouble I can get into in the pot shop.
later,
M

Oh- why the title? I spent YEARS thinking this was what was being sung------kiss this guy. One day I asked Mark, who loves when I do this, and he says, sky...kiss the sky.
Oh,right...but sometimes I like mine better.

I'll tell you a little secret. The B 52's song Rome If You Want To?
Wes used to think they were saying Go Mitsy Whato! I love that! I'm going to have to try that veggie dish. You should publish a cookbook!

Nice to have lots of customers there, many a song I've gotten wrong and probably don't know it, it's the tune and guys that count ha.

My husband's college room mate thought the same thing. :) So your title immediately made me think of him!

my daughter thought Paul Simon's song "Homeless" was "Boneless"... and Lionel Ritchies "All Night Long" was "All Nylons" :-)
the roasted veggies look great, i think i will do that tonight... i have some eggplant that needs cookin'.

I've been enjoying pretty good peaches up here in Hoosierland. Which wraps this up in a pretty tidy bundle, because...

Did you realize that "The King's Speech" sounds exactly like "The King's Peach"?

No charge. I give this stuff out for free. All the time. You're welcome.

you guys just make me chuckle- thanks for not charging me for a good laugh.
king's Peaches....
All Nylons....
Go Misty.... so happy I am not alone in my twisted wordplay.
and I hope you eat some eggplant and sqashes tonight because they are so good.
And yes, here it is squashes and gravels and my favorite testes....as in taking your testes...

You know me and my hearing. I can NEVER tell what those singers are trying to say...and do you mean it's NOT kiss this guy? Darn, learn something new every day.

As for your computer, open 'er up and blow out the innards with canned air. I had that problem at work a couple of weeks ago (right after my IT guy quit) and lo and behold it worked! Remember if you need a new video card there may be a good one in the old computer I left down there. It's the same model as yours so it should work.

My stepsister thought it was "this guy" as well.

"Oh what farmers tis to ride" was how I thought the words to Jingle Bells went until I was told otherwise. I once heard a friend's little two and a half year old girl sing, "Put your hand in the hand of the man who spilled the wees..." This was all due to a little disaster she had suffered earlier in the day when the contents of her potty ended up on the floor! It obviously troubled her enough to come out hours later in a family sing-song!

For years, our son Marcus thought Jimmy Buffet was signing "Wasting away again in margarita juice."

Hollis Engley said...

That would be "singing."

I think that computer Geek Speak for a computer operating without a monitor is "Running in headless mode"! A friend of mine who is a retired computer programmer told me recently of the "good old days" when the computers that he started his carrier on had no monitors and the stuff that they processed all was fed to what was essentially an electric typewriter. Evidently because 0 was the most commonly printed number (sometimes long series of "000000s" with the occasional "1" was about all they would get), every few months the 0 key would break and fly out of the machine in spectacular fashion!
PS... I was amused with "signing" for "singing" from Hollis... evidently his keyboard has a problem hearing words too!! :)

PPS... My keyboard has also become deaf, its catching..., "carrier" for career (as in job)!!

I have signing frogs here or at least I posted that on Facebook one night.
Hollis-
"Wasting away again in margarita juice"- we should all be so lucky!
Peter- I miss typewriters.
Our first computer ran with a cassette tape... good old days.
