When we left off last we were in the middle of fixing the small kiln in order to fire the tiles.
The parts had come in before we took off for a week to be with our kids.
Yesterday Mark was able to repair the kiln. ( there was only a little cussing and carrying on...) and, since, this will be the first time we have done this type of a repair we are not sure enough to just set up a glaze fire and go.
The kiln was unloaded and the tiles placed aside while we readied the kiln for a bisque fire.
Right now the kiln is doing a preheat with green-ware before firing tomorrow.
We are going to turn it on in the morning and watch it more than we usually do.
There will be no sleeping while this one is firing.
We just don't want to feel too relaxed while this one is firing, safety first, right?
Now, about firing Ms. B.
Yeah, we are back to her as well.
Tomorrow it is going to rain cats, dogs, and frogs, the plan is to let it. There is no stopping weather, after the winter we had, we know better. Mark's plan, laugh here, is to fire no later than Wednesday, more laughter here.
One should always have hope, right?
Let's see how it goes.
