Well- it's like watching paint dry............

You have seen the curried rice paint... it is bright and we are adding some tropical turquoise blue over near it. Sorry you can't see it yet.
We found some paint at Lowe's on the discount/return table and we are all about saving money on paint.
So I am calling this one toasted almonds to go along with the curried rice.
We think we like the turquoise color well enough to trim the windows with it.
Note the Red electric box- we thought it needed a face lift as well. The electrician thought we should add some flames to it.
We decided we saw enough shooting flames in this room in July.
NO- flames!

The back wall is being painted in the adobe with some crimson red added to darken the color.
It was too pink. We like the warm mud color.
It looks better all painted.
I have a green, my lettuce leaves green,to go in the back room.

When we left the room tonight it was covered with the display for the weekend show.
The display needed touch up and since we can't find this or that since the fire we repainted the display in the toasted almond paint.
I almost went for the turquoise --- but- better stay neutral....
So- check off the list paint for today- found the booth - listed a cookie recipe on the cooking blog and did not step on any toads!
It is a good day.

I'm loving your southwest color choices - what a wonderful space you're going to have. Why do the walls have block at the bottom (I'm interested in construction processes). Will the blocks be painted or get another treatment? Are your floors concrete? Maybe you have a post elsewhere that explains all this, sorry if you do.

I'll have to check out the cooking blog, what great fun

Hi Linda- yes concrete floor. I think because we put everything on wheels and it makes it easy to move. Standing all day we use mats in front of our wheels. It is hard on the feet. No other treatment for the block unless we paint the outside block.
This is a building we built abot 15 years ago. We had a fire in July which has put us in the remolding stage. How to rebuild and do it better.
Here is the link back and if you click rebuilding your life you can see how far we have come.
Its been a process.
Thanks for checking in.

I don't think we need to worry about toads. Where do they go in the winter weather? Under the toad stools?

Now I have to worry about where the toads are hiding- I bet it is too cold for them to be out. It is not fit for man nor beast nor toads out there tonight!

Your new space is going to be a terrific place to work! I love your color choices and wow - the space is huge...

Good idea about being open and flexible to paint colors too - I should really look in the "oops" bin next time I'm shopping for paint.
