These little guys stand under 4" and were made with salt in mind. My daughter asked me to make something for a gift which could hold salt- I came up with these and have been making them ever since.
They will also hold, lose change, jewelery, sugar, and whatever your imagination wants to put in them.
I have made some for the next kiln load, but I really like the little matt yellow one in this picture.......not that I don't like the iron red one as well- we'll it's like your kids- you love them both!

I have one of the salt cellars above, and love it. Use it everyday.
But I have to say that I'm falling quickly in love with these little round gourd shaped pots!
They are cool little jars. Wish I could have multiples in every color.
I like the jars too, but that little round one below is so beautiful.
Actually, Amanda's salt cellar is the one that started it all! Hee hee!
the little pumpkin jar I call my ode to Martha- I watched her carve gourds one day- this was pre- prison and I thought- way not make one in clay and it would not rot- so I did and I am still making them.
And yes Amanda's jar was one of the first of the salt jars.
these gorgeous things are YOURS?????
well yea- we do make a few pots now and again! And hopefully more now! Thanks- Gary! LOL
Love your blog! Your work is lovely. Julia
