A quick look in the kiln more later

I was awake at 4 am- and from what I am reading on other blogs I am not the only one having trouble sleeping right now, like Gary.
So much stuff going on with the holidays and shows.
The turkey has not even been sliced but we feel the hot breath of Christmas as it comes rushing down to meet us.
Mark and I have the first stack out of the kiln and we are taking an oatmeal and coffee break.
I had better get out there and help with the second stack.
See if there are any pots of mystery in the kiln.

Oh wow, looks like some great pots in there. Last night was the first night I have slept well in a while. I tried to think of myself floating on a warm sea of water and it worked or maybe I was just tired - anyway beautiful pots, can't wait to see more.

Looks like Christmas came early to your kiln! Beautiful colors and shapes look all sparkly!! What a GIFT. Just lovely to be able to open a kiln and have that scene.

Sleep is coming to easy to us -we've been reading in bed by 9pm, it's getting dark by 5pm and only 6 degrees outside!! As the hubby and I snuggled under the flannel sheets last night we were laughing that just a couple months ago we'd still be out on the deck BBQ-ing sipping our favorite beverage in the sunshine!!

Thank you for sharing a peek in your kiln. What a lovely load - everything looks beautiful!

Maybe with the kiln open, you will be able to sleep past 4 tomorrow morning.

Looks pretty good from this angle. And yes, we're all being pushed by Christmas. Hate it.

Oh, I didn't even read the sentence about a mystery pot. It's the one on the top shelf all the way on the right. Looks like a salt glaze to my uneducated eye. Is that a Cline signature on the bottom?

The jug with the leaves in the upper right? That looks different. And I love it almost as much as the tree motif.

So beautiful!!

WE have a winner! Or two.
Yes- that is a Kline pot from Penland over in the right hand corner.
I just wanted to see who had their coffee yesterday morning.
Don't know what your prize will be maybe just knowing you have a good eye is enough?

This post caught my eye this morning... Been up since 3:30 AM. Nice thing about being "all grown up" is that I can get up and do things -- even if it is the middle of the night!... Your kiln load looks great!
