Order up!

One more step and I will be ready to really cut this whole thing out.
We wanted to make a "quick" test to be sure of size.
This is now drying under plastic and then we can be sure it will fit the space.
We are 99% sure we have the size of the tiles down, but when you are working with small test it does not hurt to try a larger test, just to be sure.
My mind wants to figured out all the different ways this could be done, from the layout, to the carving.
I think I will stick with the tiles, but yesterday I am thinking this would also be great as a mosaic.
Then I have to think- just stop it and move on this as it is!
I drive myself crazy with possibilities.
Then I have to tell myself to focus and stick with the program.

Yesterday a walk to clear out cobwebs.
The morning was so pretty and still. I love when the trees reflect in the water. As a kid I use to imagine there was another world down below the water.
Well really there is, but you would need some gills to enjoy it.

Mark's side of the studio looks so organized!

Just waiting for action!

I notice there are no shots of your side of the studio, hmmm......
what a peaceful place to walk and clear the mind, just perfect. I also had a little chat with myself this morning about sticking with the program. There are soooooo many possibilities aren't there!

Oh, the tiles are looking great, what deep carving you've done and so perfectly smooth, really like the multiple layers. How thick do you make the tiles? are they terracotta or mid fire. you know me always curious.

Love the pond (lake); I could stare at it forever, very zen.

Both the tiles and the reflections look PERFECT -it would have been fun to see your side of the studio -probably is a mirror reflection of Mark's neat side, right?! OR is there some sort of chalk line down the middle like my sister and I had to do when we shared a bedroom ;o)

Hum, now it looks like I will have to post a picture of my side of the studio.
Might need to get some cleaning done!
And yes, there is an imaginary chalk line right down the middle!
"step back of the white line!"

The tile piece is going to be fabulous -- I think as 'creators' of stuff we can't stop thinking of the possibilities! That's why we make stuff. Of course it's probably best to stay on course with the big projects - hehe

What a great place to walk - those pictures are very zen-like. I could stare in that lake for hours.

What a beautiful way to clear the cobwebs. So serene looking. Could you see anything in that underwater world with a snorkel and mask? Craig will snorkel any body of water larger than a puddle.

Beautiful carving on the tiles. What kind of surface are they drying on, if you don't mind me asking?
