looking-bird's eye view

A number of years back we went to a city with a couple who did restoration on old buildings.
That trip taught me to really look at buildings in old down towns.
The one all the way at the bottom of this post was way up at the very top of a building- it has been cropped and cropped again for the detail.

these are just some shots of buildings and details of city that caught my attention while we were wandering around Portland the day before we flew home.
Some might make it on to some tiles.........

Great inspiration there; look at that urn on top of the entry, wow, I have to become more observant in my travels, of course the older towns have so much more to see than I've seen around here, perhaps the hurricanes blew them all away. Yep I can see some tiles made by you.

We spend so much time watching where we walk or looking into windows...I always try to remember to look UP. There's alot of treasure up there!!

Old buildings have such wonderful details. The craftmanship that went into them can be amazing. Your pictures of the lake are gorgeous!
