Spider and pottery

Today, a month plus since I took the great and graceful fall off the wet deck and hit my back, I threw pots on the wheel!
I was a little anxious about throwing, I was afraid my back would not want to bend the way I need it to to work on the wheel.
After doing a little warm up with bottles I moved over to some sugar jars and then on to some small bowls.
Right before I wrapped up my cart for the evening I counted.
35 pots- sigh- that felt pretty good.
I did come in and stretch out on my big green ball- this thing is a wonder.
I sit on it and then walk backwards while it relaxes my back.
It feels so good.
I just hang out on it for a bit and then back to work I go.
I do this about 3 times a day and at night before I hit the sack.

I was not in the mood to take pictures of pots- so how about this fat, well fed garden spider?
Isn't she a beauty!

Oh I wouldn't mind seeing a photo of the green ball, can't seem to picture how it works in my mind. Great spider.

meredith i've been neglecting my blogging buddies for a while now. sorry to hear you hurt your back so badly. i once spent almost a month on my back after hurting it quite badly while waiting tables. it pained me off and on for years because i kept neglecting it. i finally wised up and it very rarely bothers me anymore. hope the big green ball does the trick for you. good job throwing all those pots today!

35!! That's GREAT! Glad to hear the therapy is working well on your back. It's always so satisfying to be able to throw a few pots.

Good looking spider. Good to hear you're back at the wheel. I couldn't take being injured anymore so I got back on the bike a couple days ago.

Right on Meredith. Good to work and stretch. I was just thinking the other day that I hadn't seen a 'writing spider' all summer. So thanks for the photo. They are my favorite spiders. (if there is such a thing).

She is a beauty! Glad you're back on it Meredith, and a good reminder to all of us to stretch and take care. I way too often get myself jammed up because I neglect my body for the sake of getting that one-more-thing done! And I haven't (knock on wood) had any horrific falls or accidents to contend with. Glad to hear you're all mended!
