Friday the day that follows- hey- who took out Wednesday and Thursday?!

I have the door down on the big kiln  and the pots are all staring at me from behind the first stack of shelves.

I am no longer able to lift out the heavy shelves and Mark is off around and about today so I am waiting for him to come home and take out the shelves.
What a wimp you say.
Yes- I say.
I am too old to risk any more damage to my delicate southern self.

Now, I did get a load of tiles fired and I am working on backs for hanging tiles.

It is not as if I am not working, just waiting for the muscle to show.
He's home and now it is dark.
Guess what tomorrow is another day...
Today - time for a beer!

Those are gorgeous, what is that orange?

Did you experiment with any of the glazes I gave you? What about the albany slip?

Have a good weekend. take it easy.

Hey there. The pots look great, and no doubt so do you ... the "delicate Southern self" notwithstanding. I'm with Tracey, "Delicate, my ass!"

Lovely orange-looks like you matched your inspiration!

@fetishghost-I wish your blog had a slightly different name. It doesn't get past the firewalls here.

hey thanks guys!
The jars are Mark's nice aren't they.
It is always good to step it up and do something new.
And Hollis and Tracey are you challenging my status as as sweet, delicate southern bell?!
Now hush your mouth....
:) !!

Beautiful!
Hey, save that back... I am giving myself the same advice. I got a shipment of new clay in yesterday and hefted it into clay-storage... I was fine after that, but then had to heft my 60? 70? pound dog into the truck (he would NOT jump up on his own) and, wow, I had an AHHH-HA moment when I said to myself: "That was stupid." How come I keep forgetting that I'm not a spring chicken???!!!!

Love the orange & blue pots - perfect for the fall season! You are so smart to get help with the heavy lifting. Bob & I both sure miss Luke being around. Youth & strength is the best!

Not only those yummy glaze colors but the plump and inviting shapes of your forms lend themselves to a beautiful Autumn! Those pieces really remind me of Fall pumpkins and gourds :o) HAPPY.
