Stuff

Thank you for the support through comments, email and phone calls, it means a lot.
There is something I have learned over the years and that is some people just do not know what to say.
I undersatnd this.
and yet- reaching out when someone needs it is important.
It does not need to be a lot just a simple word or act of kindness goes a long, long ways.
So thank you.
My sister Leslie has posted her thoughts and some fun pictures on Lee that show that spunky side of her.
She had to be, born between two brothers and then having two little sisters who hung on her every word.

The picture I posted of her giving Cancer the one finger salute was taken by Mark and it is a favorite of his.
Why you must think? He has one of Leslie doing this as well and me- he wants to frame them together.
When we married I was 19, a mere child.
He was a whopping 20, a boy.
These women, my sisters are his sisters.
He laid claim a long time ago.
So they treat him like one of the brothers- there is no holding back.
So I am sure he deserved those fingers, everyone of them.

Today I am back to pots- I blew up a lid on one of the jars while preheating the kiln for bisque- big blow! It has been awhile since I heard that noise.
Buggers!
Again Thank you for giving me that safe place.
M

That's what we are here for. (Oh, and I love your jars!)

You'd do it for any of us, Meredith. Clay aside, as Anna said, that's what we're here for.

M, you have given me some of the best advise and some great support over the past three years and we hardly know each other. This virtual reality is really amazing, isn't it? Love that jar and YES, frame those photos, what a great idea!!!

What a great idea to frame that picture. And you and Mark just hold on to each other -- know that we are out here in 'cyber-space' and ready to support what ever you need.

Love the jar!

I always hated when my mother told that life isn't fair. I truly feel for you , your sister and your family right now. It's definitely not fair.

Here's my finger in the air, and here's to fighting the good fight against cancer, idiots and insurance companies.

Meredith,
Sending hugs to you and your family and strength for the fight.
The little jars are marvelous.

Like Kari said, I never liked the saying life isn't fair; two fingers in the air in unison to all the unfairness for your family.

Meredith, It occurred to me as I posted my response to your comment on my blog, that you are more likely to read my response here, so here it is......

Day 32:
I think my biggest strength in the past has been my work with larger platters, so although I don't throw big just for the sake of doing so, I like having a large "canvas" to work with. I vow to follow your advice though! Size doesn't matter at all! I have seen people cradle the little covered jar with more love than they cradle the nicest of my platters. It is kind of funny, really!
