Doing 60 in a 35

Did you feel the breeze as I moved into the passing lane?
No, well don't worry it is just me test driving the new computer.
Good golly Miss. Molly this thing sure can rock and roll.

Now to not do any thing news worthy or dangerous.

I am working on adding some pots to the Etsy shop and I am walking on pins trying to figure out pintrest.
Hummmm talk about teaching an old dog new tricks.
The pinning thing looks interesting, but- BUT! I can see where one could spend hours and hours just looking at everything that is being pinned.I know me, I could get sucked down that rabbit hole so quick and never come back out.
I have found a chicken coop that I like, then there is the food, and the pots...
These two bottles of Mark's have my attention right now because sometimes there are pots in the store that just get lost and in my mind they need to be pulled away from all the others to see what is really going on with them.
These bottles are a great shape and the tea-dust glaze was poured rather than dipped. It  gives them all sorts  of interesting colors from the brown to the black to the speckles that happen where it is thicker.

They have a nice quiet strength to them.

Then there is this bottle with the iron black glaze with and the wood ash glaze.
The wood ash glazes loves those places that have been cut away.

Now I have to ask you something.
On my computer screen these pictures look at bit wide, as if some one has blown up the bottles like a balloon.
Are you getting the same thing? If so maybe I need to adjust something here.
Let me know.
Cheers for Sunday,
M

They look OK from here.

POttery might be hard to tell if your pictures are stretched one way or another. Try something that you know the shape is exactly the same both ways...maybe a perfect square, or circle.

Looks good to me too!

they look fine to me. I know what you mean when pottery is all grouped together some of the pieces get lost. I think they look good standing alone or in small groups and then some open space around them. they look super in the spot you took the photo.

For some reason the two black bottles together remind me of the silhouettes of people standing together.

Hey! Congrats on the new computer~ I knew you'd love it :) Speedy Gonzalez~
Pinterest is a blast! I go in spurts with it...and like all of the social media I managed to find a groove to check in on it without letting it take over. However the first week it DID take over ;)

The pottery looks great, as always!

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I got in touch with Bailey and will go pick up the new pressure gauges tomorrow a.m.

When I first saw the title I thought you'd gotten a ticket for riding around too fast with the music blaring:-)

The pots look perfect on my Mac. I also went back and looked at the other elements on the pictures and nothing looks distorted, you may have to adjust some settings on your new computer.

jeez louise, you do stay bizzy! All of your photos look great, no distortion.... (pots look great, too) And, hey, regarding Pinterest, lots of warnings now on artist how-to sights about being cautious of copyrights. Sometimes, people will repin and not know where the original source was and if they have approval to pin.

While, of course, most of us artists love to have our images pinned, there are some folks (i.e. some fine artists and photographers) who do not want their photos pinned. So... just a word to the wise. Check out "Pinterest Hot Topics & Copyright Infringement" on at Ask Harriet.
