Well- it is still a mystery but here you go!
I went for my walk this morning and when I came home Mark had the door down, pictures taken and pots were almost all pulled. It is a good thing we have that camera!
I like to look back and see how well a pot did in a certain place in the kiln and what the flame pattern tells us.
Over all we are much happier with this firing and need to credit that to new regulators and Mark's ability to wing the heck out of a firing.
We are heading back out to plan another load and fire this kiln again by next week.
Kiln opening weekend on the 21st!
Best get cracking,
M

Thanks Linda!
There are some beauties in there! Love those reds.
That clematis is beautiful!
Looks great!
Thanks Judy- this clematis has really taken it's time getting established and finally she is putting out some flowers.
Oh, I do love those iron reds!
Thanks MH
Oh La La!! Here's a toast to new regulators :)
My clematis is just beginning to shoot out leaves. It's nice to see a reminder of what's to come!
Looks like a good one! Some fine pots there!
Nothing like clematis or other similar flowers for a month or two yet.
thems some pretty pots, Meredith!
Such a beautiful and orderly array of pots that I would not have wanted to unload the kiln!
beautiful glazes
wow! thanks for sharing. beautiful glazes! sounds like things are busy in the studio these days...
Oh- thank you all- feels good to have this load come out so well.
We are working on another one- jumping right back in to see if we can get this kiln to work for us.
That's a great kiln unloading...not opening obviously. Congrats!
They look beautiful. Taking pictures before unloading is so smart. You'll also be able to tell if things are changing in the kilns behavior.
Beautiful pots!! I love how the amber came out! Is the middle of some of those carved?
BEAUTIFUL! :D
Guess the kiln is a keeper, Mark seems to be dialed in to her now! pretty bottles :)
