Do you feel the frustration?

Frustration- an act of throwing yourself into something you have no idea of knowing how to do while thinking you can figure it all out in 5 minutes or less.
Frustration- could you use that in a sentence please.
The women sat at the new computer trying to figure out the new picture programs and how to set up a new book keeping program and the frustration was felt a far away as Alaska and as close as the imploding of brain cells inside her head.
Frustration.
I promise not to blow up in front of your eyes.
I was planning to dedicate myself to catching up on many things today in the office.
 Such as books and pictures.
Since all past pictures are on the old computer it makes it hard for me to rummage through them and then post them off. They need to be sorted and some moved over here.
Then there is the books- do I keep them on the old machine? Do I buy a new program?
I spent some time reading looking and buying one- only to download it and immediately dislike the way it is set up. Shoot! Please take this back  I have a bad case of buyers remorse.

Now I am looking for something else, brick wall head banging going on here.

I did walk in the shop yesterday as Mark was working on this pot. The plan for this pot was the bottom of a tall narrow bottle for a friend. That did not work out but this made a great planter or very, very deep bowl for mash potatoes.

Nice rim there...
I am working on some jars and of course enjoying the process.

And what is life out here without some company.
Please eat your share of bugs but leave my toes alone as you crawl past my feet.
 Cheers!
I have plans to do some moon looking tonight- how about you?

Don't you have to wonder how something so exciting as a new computer can make our lives so difficult?? Hope you get everything working just how you want in now time flat.

Hi Sue- so simple and yet...so - time consuming. I thought these things were here to make our lives easier.
Ang- thanks!

I think that software designers believe that they know best what our wants and needs will be.They also can't believe that we don't think like software designers and understand that obscure language that they speak. When we want to do something simple like resize and edit a photo or keep a database the programs can't believe that we know what we want to do so they try to make us do something else.Evil, evil technology.

For me frustration happens when I finally figure out how to do something, but forget to note what I did when.

My pet peeve...experts who say "Do this." and do it so quickly that it's impossible to see what they did or how. I learn by doing.

Rant over for now....I feel your pain.

I like the fat rim on that planter/mash potato bowl!
Too many clouds to see the moon over here :-(
I went out a few times to check, although it did make for a dramatic looking sky.

evil is right Dennis- and I know what I want but don't have the abilities to write the code.

Smartcat! Yes- now how did I do that??

The moon really came out before 11- now that was late in my bedtime book.

It was a lovely moon out there last night! And as far as the spider goes - I don't allow them to hang out near my feet....or desk....or table. But I do carve effigies to them after I squish them.

That's why I like my Mac. I had one PC and it nearly drove me mad! Wish I could help :(. Computers make things easier and more difficult all at the same time, Grrrr...
Very cute jars though:)

Maybe try buying Quickbooks, I use QB Pro but there is a lesser version and it all transfers into Turbo Tax seamlessly if you do your own taxes. Photoshop is a good program for pix, you can do almost anything with it, at least as far as I know, which isn't much! All of it is tax deductible when you buy it, and there are tons of on line spots to learn what you are doing or what you need to be doing. I bought QB when I started my biz and have never regretted it, you can look at so many great reports, etc. If you like numbers (like I do) then it is fab, but also fab in many other ways. It interacts well with other programs too. And OS, well I just love that one!

Hi Linda- thanks for stopping over and I know what you mean about those crawling things. I like them better on tile myself.

Hey TB- no macs in our house- just the way it is... thanks about the jars.

J- for now I am sticking with my quicken and sending the new program packing.
I have adobe - I just knew the old program- time to learn the new one.

I'm with Tracey on the mac. They make getting a new computer easy but since you've already got this one I'll only say, be patient with it and yourself and save the wine until AFTER you've walked away from it ;-) (lesson learn the hard way)

I'm getting frustrated just reading about it - hate it when the technology gets grumpy. I really love the decoration on your lidded bowls - beautiful. Would love to see what tools you used for some of those markings! xCathy

I actually find our cultural and social dependency on computers and technology somewhat frightening. For something that is supposed to make our lives easier, it sure feels like the tail wagging the dog a lot of the time. That said, working in technology pays the bills so I can make pottery, so I can't complain too loudly. :)

the moon, me the wrong time at the wrong place- I am slowing working it and thank goodness we are on the other side of the moon!
