what's love got to do with it?

It seems our snake had a mate.
I was picking blueberries yesterday ( about 3 weeks early) and as I moved a low branch and there to my surprise was a bigger and better looking snake that looked just like the one moved on Saturday. As I levitated out of the berry patch I thought maybe the snake had come back.
After going to get my snake charmer to remove the snake we decided that it must be the mate of the other one.
We relocated him to the same space in hopes that true love will find it's path and they will be reunited and take their offspring somewhere else to live.
I am convinced there was some love fest that was going to or had already happened in there among my berries.

I am going to keep a sharp eye out while picking anything this year.

On another note just as I was posting a message to our daughter on FB the phone rang and it was Anna to tell me they had been hit while stopped to let a car turn left.
It seems that a young woman was possibly texting and driving. She never even saw the car until she hit them. It's a pretty big car so how could she miss it unless....
She says she was not texting but she was doing something that diverted her attention away from looking while she was driving and I can tell you looking while you drive is important in my book.
The report is they are fine, car is pretty banged up. The granddaughter was not in the car and is fine.
But it shook me up.
People- do not text and drive- really just stop, you are really not that important!

Even though I want to jump in my car and go fix this all for my kid I know she will do it herself.

And what are we doing in the studio?
Throwing.
40 pots for Mark yesterday and only 36 for me- I am such a slacker...
pictures later.

Okay, okay here you go- before and after.

cheers!
M

That's a great way to show things, the before and after. Teaches us what is possible! Gorgeous pots.

Great before and after photos.....and a totally cool firing!

Snakes! I think it may be the year of them. I see them around the pond....we encourage them to move. They're just little green garden snakes but totally creep me out!

As for texting and driving....Massachusetts just made the first conviction for causing a fatal car crash while texting. Nothing is so important that it causes a death. This kid has his life in front of him to live with what he did. (I've know two people involved in fatal accidents and they have never been the same.

On a lighter note: one of my captchas is HERMONTH!

so glad your kids are okay... so scary. i was rear-ended in 2008, my SUV was totaled. a teenager hit me, it was mentioned that they thought he was texting - he never saw me with my blinker on, never touched his breaks.
i was badly bruised and sore as hell for a week but the worst was dealing with the insurance nightmare and having to buy a new car when i really loved my old one (that was paid for).
i hope they can settle quickly with the insurance company and move on from this frightening experience.

I'm so happy to know they are okay. People who text or do email while driving are just stupid. What could possibly be that important to risk everyone's life about? I don't even think dialing the phone while driving is safe, just pull over.
The snakes can be good garden friends if they don't frighten you to death. They keep the other unwanted guest away.

Beautiful "after" work (as always)...

It is hard to believe that texting and driving has become such a big issues, since I think most of us can remember a time when we didn't have phones in the car. It seems like there is now an expectation that we should accessible by phone, text, and email 24/7. It isn't healthy!

I do like the before and after shots myself- fun to see how things develop.

The kids are fine, thank you all- I am with you all 100% on what you are saying.
Really can't it wait?!

ooohhhh, yum, that blue mug on the bottom!!
So glad your kid's ok, I know your heart skipped a beat when she told you about the accident. I tell you, there are some crazy drivers out there. I HATE I-95 and I NEVER want to drive on it again!!!! I can't tell you how many nuts we saw. Hope all goes well for your girl, what a hassle dealing with a broken car.... sigh..... but so good to hear she is fine, physically anyway :) I'm sure she was shaken.

Tracey! We missed you.
Yes you were out there with the crazies- I hope it was worth it.
I can't wait to see what you were up to.
Mara has offered to fix Mamma's Red Racing car for her- so cute.
