A horse of a different color

Mark and I had offered to help our son and his wife get the nursery ready for the twins, which is coming sooner than you think.
Well, it seems soon when weeks keep flying past me.
Katie had picked a great theme for the nursery of Carousals horses.
The thought was to have the horses go around the room.
She borrowed an overhead projector to shoot an image on the wall, we then traced the image with pencils. A mock up for each horse was made to give us the chosen colors to follow.
Then she and I along with two of her close friends set to work painting the horses.
We started around 2 pm and they were done before mid-night.

What a great nursery this will be with the horses prancing around the room.
I was hard pressed to pick a favorite, I liked them all.
Mark and our son spent their time putting together the cribs and all the other stuff you need for wee ones.
We are planning to get back to work tomorrow with visions of horses in our heads.

This is so amazing, I almost cried reading this post, what an exciting time.... Boy, my days of picking nursery stuff are long gone..... In fact I never even did it, we didn't have room for a nursery, Wesley slept in our room her first two years..... Maybe that's why she sticks around here so much, haha!
Just beautiful, so happy for you that you get to be a part of this

I love the horses - so colorful! Those babies are going to enjoy their room. Twins - I can't imagine - two babies, two cribs, four shoes -- yikes. Let's don't even mention all the diapers.
But my husband is a twin and even after 60 years, he and his twin are really close.
