You don't use kiln wash, is that true?
We do use kiln wash on the carbide shelves, but not on the alumina ones. We try to put runny glazes on washed shelves. Sometimes we lose.
Ahhhh, fall kilns in Seagrove, nothing warms the soul more. I really gotta get down there soon!
