Five weeks

We are now 5 weeks into the shut down since we  could see what was happening around us and went ahead and shut the doors to our business before we were asked to.
As I was listening to the news and then realizing that nothing was being done yet I thought it was in the best interest  of customers and us to close.
We allowed a few pickups and have shipped out pots to customers. We are also holding pottery until we can allow travel again.
We are living in a new world.
It is hard to see what direction this will take us.
This is like nothing we have even seen.
I do believe in science and I do believe in the human race, in the kindness and helpfulness that comes at a time like this.
People have stepped up to help their neighbors, sew mask, do things for others at a time that life is risky.
Companies are stepping up to get out needs for people.
The low wages earners are running the county keeping your stores stocked, working when no one else will or can.
Life has gone online.
Communicating with others by phone, text and video is keeping us all sane.
We are working online.
Our children and grandchildren are learning on line.
And, we are learning everyday that you can not do this alone.
My heart goes out everyday to the helpers, to our officials that are working hard to hold states together during a time we don't feel we have the best government in place to deal with the virus.
So, we do our part, we stay home, we wait, we worry, and we survive.
Know this, we are thinking of you.
Peace be in your house,
Meredith

It was lovely to see you this week, even if from a distance. Stay well over there.

Thank you so much for your warm wishes. May you and your loved ones have good health, beauty, shared hugs and kisses through the ether, and laughter! We may soon be together again, and pottery sales will certainly be the first thing that people will indulge in, at least they should!
