Time to load the kiln

It has been one of those weeks where the weather was chilly, but quite nice for fall. The leaves are quickly throwing them selves off the trees and soon the trees will be bare.
We took a quick ride on Wednesday and took in the last of the good colors. All it takes now is the type of rain, cold and wind we are having for the leaves to give it up.
We have glazed all week and now it is time to put on the long john's and load the kiln.
So this is me, leaving the warmth of the house to go out and load the kiln--- I am going now---
see I'm almost gone.
Well- better check email first and then see if there are any new post on the blogs and fix a cup a tea.

Stay warm! I definitely procrastinate when it comes to glazing... I have to be in the right frame of mind.

We woke up to a dusting of snow this morning - all gone now but it's that time of year.

Gorgeous tea set!

It turned out to be warmer then I thought it would be yesterday.
The kiln is 2/3rds in the last stack today will be a piece of cake- brick the door and fire tomorrow.
Then it will be time to tackle the house!
Thanks- I enjoy making t-pots and jars.

Lovely tea set. I like the glaze. I wonder how it would look on top of some trees?

Love the tea set with all the stamping and decoration and the glaze is wonderful, almost painterly in it's effect, like a watercolor.

Thanks Mike and Linda- this is an old glaze but with the wood ash on top you get some nice variation in the color.
I love those fall colors!
