North Carolina Peaches

Peaches- We live 20 minutes away from the sandhills and this time of year the peaches are coming in.
If you are coming to see us from Pinehurst or Southern Pines a trip to Ben's for the ice cream alone ........ it calls my name.
Daily. But I don't answer but weekly........

I remember well driving to Candor with grandfather Slack to check out the peaches when they came in. His favorites were Elberta and Georgia Belle. He'd buy a bushel of each if they looked right, and then it was back to Whynot to process as many as we could for canning.

Those peaches look great and the baskets are nice too. We just had the last of our Red Haven's and our Fay Elberta will be ripe next.

How do you connect to a blog? as Jen was mentioning above ?
