Oh- we hate to say where we got the big red tub- giving away more secrets....but it was a laundry tub from either wally World or Slowes.
We are always on the look out for things to glaze in or with or under or around. We can not go to the grocery store with out Mark asking for buckets or boxes.
If you don't have space- a kitty litter pan works great for this!
I've been smoke firing my vases just to avoid glazing them. Pitiful isn't it! I may give it a shot with a contraption like this, I remember this posting from a while back, brilliant idea!
hey meredith, been a bit off the grid but nice to see the action shots. another place to get tubs is if you have a asian food market around. the real asian cooks use them to wash large amounts of veggies. usually they have all different sizes. i see you have a sassafras in the next post. i planted one about 15 years ago in my back yard, it's a beautiful tree and it's a'poppin' out all over now. i used to be a woodworker and sassafras wood is a very agreeable wood to work with too. when you plane it the whole house smells like ginger ale
