Game on!

The last thing Mark made to help fill the kiln were some pitchers.
I have always liked his pitchers.

Whenever we go to visit my mother I have noticed that over the years my mother has collected a really nice selection of Mark's pitchers.
There are several places in her house where she has lined them up.
I look at them and think, those are nice.......

One day I might have to post up some of those.

Meanwhile, these are just dry enough to go through the bisque fire.
I usually like all the pots ready before I plan a load but that is not always the case.
I have a bisque to candle today with the rest of the large lamps in it.
I like to preheat the kiln about 5 hours, then fire.
Preheat today, fire tomorrow.

Long and tall.
Tall and round.
Gosh, how do you choose?

Many of the smaller pots were glazed yesterday, mugs, bowls, teapots, more mugs, juice cups or as one of our friends and customers calls them WAW cups.
(wine after work)- I told him I was so stealing that.
Many WAW cups are heading into the kiln.
I have found this wee cup is related to the potato chip family.
You can't just have one.

There are many busy bees and butterflies working away here.
They do not seem to care if I hang around and take their picture.
There are times I get too close for them and then they want to check me out or buzz over as if to say, get a life of your own....
But, you are my life I want to tell them.
At least right now....

Until fall.

Then I will move on to something else.

Mark is one of those steady as you go potters, always consistent with a nice form, isn't he!

I can tell Mark's done this before. Gorgeous spouts.

Mark does make some beautiful big forms.

Once when our old dog Sam was bothering a toddler Christine in the back yard I told Champ to "buzz off". To which Christine added, "Yeah, Sam, go buzz by yourself". So, Meredith the bees are saying, "Go buzz by yourself". (But keep taking those pix 'cause we like 'em.)

Can't wait to see the finished pots and pitchers. They are lovely.

Clearly we need to start a WAW cup movement!
